PRINTMAKING

Phillippa’s work comprises linocut prints, silkscreen prints, paintings and sculptured heads in cake. Her subject matter covers both figurative and abstract work, as she likes to move from one medium to the other, building on each area to create anew in another.

During the Covid19 year the majority of her 140 linocut prints incorporated images based around the virus. Her climate change series combine print and drawing; like the linocuts they reflect the changing world. Her work displays humour, sometimes dark with the harlequin and ragdoll (natural anarchists) series as well as her political cake heads which get sliced up and eaten.
