An introduction to Copper Foiled Glass with Ellie Drake- Lee. Ellie is an artist and part-time special needs teacher. She creates beautiful contemporary botanical designs from glass, combing coloured and textured glass with traditional lead and copper foiling techniques. She will introduce you to her practice and guide you through creating your own piece using the copper foiling technique.
Drawing Insects with Award Winning artist Louisa Crispin. This workshop will explore ways of looking and listening, understanding the anatomy of an insect and why this is important. Hopefully, lots of laughs amongst the expert tips but don't worry - no drawing skills required!
Introduction to Fused Glass with Jazz Dixon. Create your own fused glass Christmas tree decoration with Jazz Dixon (BA hons Designer Maker), sometimes known as The Alchemist. Jazz is a contemporary glass artist, working in all forms of warm glass, from traditional stained glass painting to cast glass, and fused glass. Jazz is an experienced glass tutor and has a number of venues where she teaches, including The Lighthouse Gallery, Eastbourne, Dippydoodahs, Hailsham and with the Sussex Garden Design School at Pitfield Barn, Hurstpierpoint. Jazz will give a brief introduction to the art of fused glass and the different types of glass and methods she uses to create her work. In the session you will make a festive Christmas tree using glass stringers and ribbons. You will create a colourful pattern that you can then add further embellishments to, to give your tree that individual sparkle. All materials will be suppled with a choice of colours. Your decoration will be taken away for fusing and return arrangements agreed. Each tree is supplied with a small wooden stand to complete the piece.
Marketing for Creatives plus Q&A with Lesley Samms. Pure founder Lesley Samms will be on hand all day to answer your art business related questions. She will also deliver a short marketing focused workshop in the afternoon for those who have a particular project in mind.
Sound Bath with Sarah Stephenson of Seraphina Sound. Sarah Stephenson is a professional classical pianist, vocal coach and Sound Healing Practitioner, as well as tutor for the College of Sound Healing. We are delighted to work with Sarah again and she will guide you through this wonderful experience to achieve a state of deep relaxation, balance and calm.
