Artist in Residence: Chérie Lubbock
Portsmouth based artist Chérie creates abstract sculpture, mixed media paintings and prints. Assemblage forms an essential role in her practice. While figuration is hinted at, she is more concerned with articulating aspects of the human spirit which exist independently of the body. A deep emotional attachment to colour is evident in all her work.
Artist in Residence: Susan D'souza
New work by textile artist Susan D'souza exploring details from trees including ancient yew, oak and laurel and their symbolism. Susan is a mixed media textile artist whose work translates textures and patterns in nature through batik, hand painting with natural dyes, applique and embroidery.
