Pure Open Day

  • Bannatyne Hotel & Spa Battle Road Hastings United Kingdom (map)

Spend the day with the Pure team and take part in some fun and creative art and well being activities.

Activities will include:

An introduction to pottery by Mary Clarke - The Burwash Pottery

This will be based on slab building (not throwing - too messy for a Hotel!) and you will have the opportunity to create a unique piece to take home or have glazed and fired.

Bring old clothes and lots of ideas - this is a "get your hands dirty" workshop!

Drawing Insects with Award Winning artist Louisa Crispin

This workshop will explore ways of looking and listening, understanding the anatomy of an insect and why this is important

Hopefully, lots of laughs amongst the expert tips but don't worry - no drawing skills required!

An introduction to Felting with Ali Rabjohns

Felting is a simple fun art that anyone can learn.

Hot water, sometimes with added soap, is sprayed onto layers of wool, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibres of the wool to hook and weave together into a single piece of fabric.

The art of framing with Bev from Edge Bespoke Picture Framing

Bev will be on hand to talk through the basic principles of framing and answer your questions. She will bring along some kit so you can see how it is done IRL.

"Ask me anything" Q&A with Pure founder Lesley Samms

All activities on the day will be subject to space availability. Pre registration will be required - book your tickets today!
