Spring Art & Wellness Day

  • Bannatyne Hotel & Spa Battle Road Saint Leonards-on-sea, England United Kingdom (map)

Bannatyne Hotel is the home of the Pure Art Gallery and the venue for lots of our in real life workshops and activities.

Spend the day with the Pure team and take part in some fun and creative art and well being activities.

A full day of activities will be delivered by textile artist Susan D'souza and painter Fran White.

Susan will take you on a journey of hand painting with natural plant dye extracts to create a colour sampler and learn more about the dyes. You will make one labelled colour chart sample and then one hand painted fabric piece using the dyes in combination.

As a natural follow on to Susan's workshop, Fran will invite you into her slow stitching sanctuary - a welcoming space where you can explore mindful creativity, textile arts, and community connection through the meditative practice of slow stitching. You will have access to ethically sourced and hand-dyed materials, enhancing a sensory experience that fosters relaxation and self-expression. This will be a mindful and therapeutic practice, where the process is valued over the outcome, promoting both individual well-being and collective engagement.
