Ahmet was born in Samsun, Turkey but now lives and works in the south east of England. From a young age he remembers having a pencil in his hand and enjoyed capturing the world around him on paper. He is essentially a self taught artist, preferring to work in large scale and in non typical materials. Working in construction and on artisan projects for most of his life has given Ahmet a wealth of knowledge and the freedom to work in this way. His 3D wall plaques are created in stages, slowly built up with his special blend of plasters which he then carves and finishes with different paint affects. His raw talent is clearly evident in these exemplar carved wall pieces.
