"Agua Pura I marked the beginning of a series of paintings ininfluenced by cliffdiving. My aim was to portray the turbulent yet thrilling aftermath of the dive. Jumping into choppy waters can be disorienting, blurring the lines between up and down, and evoking a hint of panic. While the ocean commands respect, the entire experience gives rise to incredible and beautiful moments that I wanted to capture on canvas and convey to others."
