An exhibition of paintings showing Elaine’s process of painting abstract landscapes, from initial plein air sketch to completed paintings. One work grows from another just as she has moved and developed, and walked around the countryside. Art-wise she feels Free to Roam too.
Elaine is an intuitive artist and teacher, loves colour and abstract forms and paints expressively in acrylics, inks and occasionally oils. She is inspired by nature, life experiences and spirituality. The focus of this show is the landscape which she has always felt close to. It is a constant in all lights and weathers, often reflecting our moods in an ever changing world.’
Elaine began to paint in 2008, and was shortlisted in the National Open Art competition in 2017. She lives in West Kent, exhibits locally, around the south east and at national art fairs. She also offers individual and group art classes. She is a member of the Pure Arts Group, Sevenoaks Visual Arts Forum and the Ginger Cactus Art Collective. Her work can also be seen in the Newart Gallery, Eastbourne.
