Become a Successful Artist
We are excited to have launched our Pure Artist Development Programme in 2024: The Pure Principles for Becoming a Successful Artist.
Pure founder and artist mentor Lesley Samms has designed this programme to help you focus on the core qualities that contribute to artists' success.
-
Pure Principles are the core qualities that contribute to artists' success. Each month in 2024 one principle will be featured with themed content and activities.
-
Regular content will reach you each month, via our mailing list and the website. The previous months content will also be available any time to review on the website.
-
We are also delivering an enhanced level to this programme for Pure Members, including bespoke monthly activities in the portal, members calendar of events and the option of one-on-one guidance where required.
If you are thinking about elevating your art practise by joining Pure as a member, please email lesley@pureartsgroup.co.uk and request a discovery call.

RESILIENCE
"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf."
- JON KABAT-ZINN
And finally - to be successful we must never give up!
The difference between success and failure is acceptance, adaptability and action…
Building resilience is the process by which people become better at reframing thought patterns and tapping into a strengths-based approach to working through obstacles. As a process, it doesn't happen overnight, and even if you are already resilient, it is something you have to work at to maintain.
The seven C’s for building resilience are competence, confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping and control. If you start to invest a little bit in each area over time, you will gradually build a support kit so that when times get tough you are well-equipped to overcome them and build more resilience.
