PAINTING - REALISM

Viv has a working background as a Graphic Artist for a Newspaper, a Magazine, and an Advertising Agency. Unfortunately in 2000 illness meant Viv had to re-think herself, so decided to diligently apply herself to learning about her life long love of watercolour, and focused it on painting the natural world. Viv paints botanical subjects, still life, and landscape in either pure watercolour or in mixed media, building up images with layers of paper, mono prints, typography, ink, acrylic, and gold leaf. She has always preferred working in watercolour, enjoying its technical challenges, its transparency, its happy accidents and quirks.
